Super quick to make and incredibly chocolaty.

A light and moist chocolate-nut cake with ground nuts and rich chocolate, finished off with a splash of STROH for extra flavor.

INGREDIENTS for 8 -10 Slices

  • 210 g butter
  • 210 g sugar
  • 6 eggs (size M)
  • 210 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack baking powder
  • 100 g grated walnuts
  • 100 g grated baking chocolate
  • 5 tbsp STROH 80 or 60
  • 5 tbsp milk

 

PREPARATION

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C fan.
  • Separate the eggs.
  • Cream the butter and sugar with the egg yolks until very fluffy.
  • Fold in the grated baking chocolate and walnuts, then mix in the flour.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  • Combine the STROH and milk with the mixture, then gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
  • Grease a bundt pan with butter and dust with a little flour.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for about 80 min.

Tip: The cake is best enjoyed warm with lightly whipped, unsweetened cream.
