Ingredients for 12 servings
- 500 g ketchup
- 3 tbsp STROH 40
- 30 g sugar
- 150 ml vinegar
- 1 red onion
- ½ garlic clove
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika powder or 1 tbsp smoky salt
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon sticks
- 1 chili
- salt
- pepper
Preparation
- Finely chop the onion, chili and garlic. Sauté them in oil.
- Add spices (paprika, cloves and cinnamon) and roast until fragrant.
- Finally, add vinegar, sugar, STROH and ketchup and bring to a boil.
- Simmer on medium heat for 30 min.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Keep in the refrigerator until serving.
