Ingredients for 8 servings
- 2 carrots
- 2 onions
- 150 g celeriac
- 1/4 bunch fresh parsley
- 3 cloves garlic
- 50 ml olive oil for roasting
- 100 g bacon
- 500 g minced meat
- 1/8 l STROH 80
- 1 l tomato sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- black pepper
Preperation
- Finely chop bacon, celeriac, carrots, onion, parsley and garlic.
- In a braising pan, fry the bacon in oil until it is fragrant.
- Add the celeriac, carrots, onion, parsley and garlic and sauté everything. Season with salt. Push to one side of the pot.
- Add the meat and fry until it is not red anymore. Season with salt, deglaze with STROH.
- Add tomatoes and bay leaves, bring to a boil.
- Cover with a lid and simmer on small heat for at least 2 hours.
- Remove bay leaves, season with salt, pepper and sugar.
- Serve with cooked spaghetti or tagliatelle.
